Information | Rain Barrels

The Buffalo Grove Park District Environment Action Team is currently taking orders for Rain Barrels and composters, which will be available for pick-up on Saturday April 6.

The rain barrels come is variety of colors and cost $60 each.  Accessories are also available.

You must pre-order your barrel before March 30.  No barrels will be sold on pick-up day.

By using rain barrels, you are benefiting the environment by reducing sewer runoff, helping your garden and landscape thrive, reducing your water bill, and reducing stress on our water supply.  Rain water is a great source of water for home gardens.  It is free, you can use it whenever you want, and it is actually higher quality water than city water.  It does not contain the chlorine and fluoride that is in city water.  Fluoride and chlorine are not desired by plants.
