The Organization

The Friends of the Parks Foundation has been formed to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes as a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit corporation in the State of Illinois. The Foundation promotes active involvement within the community. Our direction will be determined by the needs of the community we serve.

Our Mission

For the physical and recreational well-being of the residents of Buffalo Grove Park District, the FriendsĀ of the Parks Foundation is dedicated to supportingĀ the district in the development and enhancement of its programs, services, facilities & planning.

Our Purpose

The Friends Of The Parks Foundation has been established to:

  • Help insure continued, measured growth and enhancement of facilities and services.
  • Provide additional forums and communication channels.
  • Recognize quality and excellence in recreational programming, encourage and facilitate continued development.
  • Supplement shortfall from tax revenues and program fees.

The Method

In addition to special fundraising events, the Foundation plans to accomplish its goals by soliciting membership and other tax-deductable contributions from individuals, businesses, community organizations and other foundations.

We, the members of the Friends of the Parks Foundation, accept the challenge to maintain the highest standard of recreational opportunities from our district. We ask that each of you join with us for the benefit of ourselves, our families, our neighbors, and our community.
