TRX

ZumbaKids
It’s time to make fitness a family affair with Zumbatomic! Designed
exclusively for kids, Zumbatomic classes are rockin’ high-energy fitness
parties packed with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines, and
all the music kids love to groove to in a group, like hip-hop, reggaeton,
cumbia and more. Parents love Zumbatomic because of the effects it has
on the kids, increasing their focus and self-confidence, boosting metabolism
and enhancing coordination. Zumbatomic rounds out the family fitness
goals by giving the kids a super fun reason to head to the gym with their
parents.

Taekwondo
Uniforms are required. Orders are taken by the instructor at the first class. The price per uniform is $45.All classes are held in the in the special programs room.
Master Instructor Aris DeGuzman leads the Buffalo Grove Fitness Center Taekwondo classes. His reputation is excellent among his peers and students. Aris' credentials include being a 4th degree Kukkiwon black belt, 3rd degree Dan Young Moo Do, 1st degree Dan Hap ki Do, 1998 National Team Member, De la Salle University Tae Kwon Do Varsity Team, Philippine National Referee, Batch 17 Tae Kwon Do Black Belt Brotherhood Batch Leader, and USA Tae Kwon Do Union National Referee.
David Walcoff assists in our Taekwondo classes. He began studying Taekwondo in the Spring of 1999 and has trained for 2 1/2 years to earn his Black Belt and become an assistant instructor.

Little Jins
All Colors
Ages 4 - 5
This introductory class is designed to captivate the interest of our youngest students. Skills are developed through gentle instruction and appropriate games for their ability. This class focuses on developing balance, coordination and respect for the discipline of martial arts training.
Beginner
White - Orange Belts
This program includes a balanced cardiovascular workout including punching, kicking and blocking skills, using the Taekwondo tradition and self-control. Participants will improve coordination, balance and both physical and mental discipline.
Intermediate
Green/Purple/Blue Belts
This class continues to lead students through the art of Taekwondo with a more serious approach. Conditioning and techniques are more challenging. Discipline and focus is also challenged through sparring.
Advanced
Brown - Black Belts
This class continues to lead students through the art of Taekwondo with a more serious approach. Conditioning and techniques are more challenging. Discipline and focus is also challenged through sparring.
Adult Taekwondo
This program concentrates on techniques through the study of forms, stances and the skills of punching, kicking and blocking. As you learn the discipline with Taekwondo you will get an amazing workout.

Pilates Reformer & Chair Classes
Reformer and Chair classes will improve core strength, flexibility, and joint mobility, along with leaving you feeling tall and refreshed. As Joseph Pilates states, in 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20 you will see the difference, and in 30 you will have a whole new body. First time participants must complete Reformer Intro (offered during spring and fall only) or receive at least 2 private Pilates training sessions and have instructor's approval prior to enrolling.
